Lescroart, John Rasputin's Revenge New York Donald I. Fine 1987 1556110111 / 9781556110115 First edition first printing Hard Cover Fine Fine SIGNED by the author. First edition first printing of the second novel in the Auguste Lupa - Son of Holmes series. SIGNED by the author on the title page. Here is a note about this book from the author. "Dear Don – This was as you say an interesting – and to a new novelist heartbreaking – development. The first edition of RR was printed with a host of gross errors, due apparently to the typesetting people – since the galleys were fine. Donald I. Fine recalled the entire print run and tipped in something like forty pages in the middle. That fixed the problem, but you can easily see which books this affected by the splint in the tipped in section. Since then, I’ve not heard of any other missing pages or text. Look me up at LCC and we can talk about this more. All best, John" He later verified that yes this is one of the 40 to 100 that escape revision. Price clipped otherwise in near fine / near fine unread condition.
